Some time after the '08 housing market crash, my grandma Sue unwittingly lost her immaculately kept home to a reverse mortgage scheme. We knew this happened to seniors and other vulnerable homeowners, but never thought it could happen to our own family. 

Needless to say, the decision to partner with Truehold to help seniors (and homeowners of all ages) access their home equity without being booted from their homes was a no-brainer. And while my foray into the world of writing was never intended to be a noble one, my work for Truehold feels –– in some small way –– like giving back to often unseen communities who have done so much for us. Grandiose? Maybe. Give me a break, I'm a writer!
